Every little bit helps! Many people ask what kind of books I read or what books have helped me the most on my travel and I have to be honest and say, every single book I pick up. Any thing that you read will effect your thinking no matter what kind, what topic, how old. If your mind will allow you to read it, then do. I have had years of not being able to read the simplest story and times when I could read a novel. My piece I call "MY MESS" was the first thing written after I believe almost twenty years and I hadn't been able to really read in most that time. My brain had remained in a frozen state. I'm not much for horror stories, and I think many of us do stay away from that, but I will say that simple short stories with nice little plots and ones that leave me with even if but one new idea, then those are the ones for me. I got the idea for this page actually from a neat little book I read. It was written by one of authors at the authorsden.com site and the idea that sticks in my head is the "image nation" where we create our selves over many times. What a neat way to discribe the metamorphosis of my life as a multiple. Remember that most times life is an illusion that we can change the effect of just by our very thoughts and a little bit of extra time in the image nation. I love that concept of the "image nation" as different from saying to "use your imagination". The picture above is a simple picture of me yet with time and effort I created the illusion you see above. It is still me yet the new image lend for much more thought to come forth. So since I borrowed his new idea for my work I will put his book up first here. I could list a dozen books on self help, multiples, and many more yet I wanted this space here to put new authors that I have read and help them get their stories out in our forums also. (Editor) I chose to list this book because it was the very first of it's kind in the beginning of the 1990 that even talked about Mutiple Personalities at a time when most professionals still did not recognize us. Lynn W. From Many Voices Press.com help edit this book along with an editor for others who were beginning to get the word out I guess for lack of better ones. At the time I did not know Lynn W. I was not to meet her online until the end of the 1990's and it was still a while before I realized that she was the Lynn W. who helped with this book. It is just multiples back then writing what they wanted others to know but were afraid to say out loud back after a time when they would have put us away for talking like this. We did not grow up in the easiest time for those with mental health problems. I lived by one of the famous mental health places in New Jersey and had a girl friends mother who never did come back quite right from her stay there. So it's our dying proof that we've been around a long time and not going away real soon. Lady J
