The Echoes Of Courage

She was a great online friend and encouraged me to begin this journal project.
These two poems I wrote to her.
The first at the beginning of our friendship as she struggled to learn about
being a Multiple and the second when I learned
she was gone from our lives.
Inner Peace is not Ours
Sometimes finding inner peace is easier said then done
It means casting out our world inside, when at last we thought to run
It means tearing up that book of life and the lessons we had learned
then not filling it with all those thoughts of karma we had earned
It means for once we lived in darkness, there naked as our birth
Vulnerable to earth's own madness, enclosed within our girth
For once We set this time in motion, no longer we'll look back
No longer is the world our stage, no longer need we act
What others see out side this wall, our castle in the round
Those thick and sturdy bricks laid high from the heavens to the ground
The tears we've cried a hundred years fill the waters at it's base
Not there to keep the unknown out, for it's only ours to face
The grief that swims within these pools, it's story much be told
Repentant words need swept away, the lees you can not hold
For it shall burn inside of you, consume you with it's fury
And in this deep and darkened void, is where you mow must bury
Yet do not look for lighter days to come at your command
Remember that this chosen life is not at your hearts demand
for we are just the simple souls set in this life to wonder
For all the things that we make strait there is not time to ponder
The wheels of justice set in motion before our time began
Laid down the course of all our lives in perfect quest and then
Before we've had a time to think of taking things in stride
The world we know has come undone, again in truth we lied.
This lie is not the worlds' untruth as many do believe
It's not about the many stories, in fact to those deceived
The condition that has bond us here through the many ages
Was caused by taking in the smokes from fires set by sages
The magic potion drawn inside, the undoing of our life
Where moments set alone in time we think only that is strife
The ones that seem to know it all have laid hands upon our head
To give us strength that we will need when another love is dead
We are the rescuers of time and time again we rescue

This poem I penned on the morning after I knew she left my life
When Morning comes
The mourning it does come and go as I open up my eyes
My thoughts return to days gone past but I still can't say "Good-bye"
There was a moment as I fell asleep I felt angels at my side
I thought that maybe my old friend had come to say "Don't cry"
I'm in a better place for me, a place of peace and joy
A place where it doesn't matter if I am girl or I'm a boy
There is no judgment here for what I have selfishly done
It's only a place that everyone can sing free and in the meadows run
For all those times we shared our souls it's from here I understand
That my place in your life that I held dear, I see much more my fan
From this place I'll send to you so much more of my dear love
Because all I'll have here to do is guide you from above
Tell my children and my loved one I'll watch them from a far
and shine the light of everlasting love no matter where they are
You still must fumble, you still must fall completely on your own
Because that is his wish for all the things yet in life to atone
You have an angel on your desk that a young child gave to you
She knew that in your darkest hour and this time that makes you blue
Just rub the stone that protects her wings and always think of me
Then remember that I am finally here and able to be free
